01 · What we build

Systems that
finish the work.

AI systems that take work from request to outcome, connect with your existing tools and keep decisions traceable.

Custom AI
Agents

Agents that work towards a goal, use your business systems as tools, check results against agreed criteria and escalate when human judgement is needed.

02 · How we work

Audit. Evaluate.
Deploy.

Define the work, agree how success will be measured and prove the system before it enters production.

01

Audit

Map the work, rank opportunities and choose where an agent, a fixed workflow or a simpler solution fits.

02

Evaluate

Build a test set from real cases, define correct outcomes and measure the current baseline.

03

Deploy

Integrate with your systems and release in stages, with access controls, audit records and human oversight.

04

Managed operation

Monitor performance, manage costs and rerun evaluations as models, prompts and policies change.

03 · Why Outback CX

What Outback CX does, how an engagement runs and how we decide whether AI is the right tool.

What is Outback CX?

Outback CX is a Melbourne-based AI agency. We design, evaluate and deploy AI agents, agentic workflows and knowledge systems for Australian businesses. Outback CX is a member of the Claude Partner Network and the OpenAI Partner Network.

What does Outback CX build?

We build three kinds of system. Custom AI agents work towards a goal and use your business systems as tools. Agentic workflows handle repeatable work across your applications. Knowledge and retrieval systems connect your policies, contracts and procedures to AI, with source references.

How does an engagement work?

Every engagement follows the same method: Audit. Evaluate. Deploy. We map the work and choose where AI fits, build a test set from real cases, then release in stages with access controls and human oversight. Managed operation follows.

Does every process need an AI agent?

No. Some processes need an agent that works towards a goal. Others are better served by a fixed workflow — or by a simpler solution with no AI at all. The audit decides before anything is built.

How do you measure whether an AI system works?

Before release, we build an evaluation set from your real cases and agree what a correct outcome looks like. The system is measured against that set and the current baseline. We rerun evaluations as models, prompts and policies change.

Which industries do you work with?

We work across industries. The method stays the same, and the audit starts from your processes, systems and operating context rather than a template for one sector.

Do you build voice agents?

Yes, where voice is the right channel. Voice is one capability within a wider system of agents, workflows and knowledge — not the starting point.

How do we start?

Bring one process that eats your team’s day. Send a short description through the form below or email hello@outbackcx.com. We will look at whether it needs an agent, a workflow or neither.
